KERFNEST

Privacy policy

Effective September 27, 2026. Developer: Stella Freeman.

The online-service sections below apply to the new KerfNest version 1.0.2 (build 5). The previously distributed version 1.0.1 does not make these runtime configuration requests. The local project, sharing and support information applies to both versions. Updating this policy does not change an installed earlier version.

Your cutting projects

Project names, stock lengths, saw kerf, units, named parts, quantities and completion marks are stored in KerfNest's private storage on your iPhone. The native planner calculates cutting plans locally and does not upload these projects or their results to us. It has no KerfNest account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or developer-operated cloud synchronization. System backups may include local app data according to your device settings.

Online configuration in version 1.0.2, build 5

The integrated GW service requests signed configuration from tg.169movie.com when the app opens or returns to the foreground. These checks also occur when no destination is enabled. When a valid online destination is active, the app periodically renews its configuration, normally within 48 seconds. Moving the app to the background cancels the renewal tasks.

Requests contain the KerfNest route identifier, app version and build number, but not project names, dimensions, part lists, cutting results or completion marks. They do not send an advertising identifier, vendor identifier or KerfNest account identifier. Configuration requests use an ephemeral network session with no persistent cookie store or disk cache. The app separately stores the highest accepted configuration revision locally to reject older signed configurations.

Network diagnostics and App Store disclosure

Our hosting and Cloudflare network service receive ordinary connection and request information, including IP address, request time, requested URL, app version/build and network client information. Network and security records are used to operate, protect and diagnose the configuration service. Because these records can include IP addresses and are not all de-identified before processing, we disclose Other Diagnostic Data, linked to you, for App Functionality. Having no KerfNest account does not mean that these records are anonymous. We do not use this service for advertising tracking or sell this information.

Cloudflare processes and retains network/security information under its privacy policy. Retention varies by service and operational or legal need; we do not promise that every request is discarded immediately or give an unverified fixed retention period. The configuration handler does not store your cutting projects or maintain a per-user project database.

Optional websites inside the app

A valid enabled configuration for the exact app version and build can display a configured HTTPS website in an embedded WebKit browser. Disabled, empty, invalid, expired or unavailable configuration leaves the native planner available. No destination website is built into or enabled by this release. The capability works the same way during review and after release.

If a website is enabled, it receives normal web requests and any information you choose to enter. Unlike the configuration-request session, WebKit uses its default persistent website data store, which may keep that site's cookies, cache and local website storage across launches. Links and redirects can navigate to other permitted HTTPS sites. A site's own privacy policy describes its additional processing; we do not claim that arbitrary websites are tracking-free. Any future configured service must be assessed and applicable privacy disclosures updated before use. The embedded browser is not given access to your native cutting-project files.

Sharing, deletion and your choices

Share plan opens the iOS share sheet with the selected project's text summary. Only the destination you choose receives that shared text; the receiving service has its own privacy practices. The native planner works without a network connection when no active online destination is being displayed.

Delete a project from the project list and confirm removal. Deleting the app removes its app-local storage, including local website data. Separately retained system backups and server records are not deleted by uninstalling; manage backups using your device or backup-provider settings. Contact us about access or deletion of relevant server or support records. We may need sufficient information to identify them, and applicable legal or security retention may limit deletion.

Support email

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that correspondence to answer and investigate your request. Please mention KerfNest and do not send passwords or confidential project details. You can request deletion of support correspondence at the same address, subject to applicable retention obligations.

This support website

This website is separate from the native planner and its configuration requests. Hosting and Cloudflare delivery services process technical request information such as IP address, browser details and the requested page for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Cloudflare may add email-address protection and a performance-measurement beacon to these pages. These website features do not receive your saved KerfNest projects.
